Nepal exported handicraft product worth Rs 5.4 billion in the fiscal year of 2017. Nepal handicraft export income stood at Rs 4.8billion. Nepali handicraft products were exported all over the world like United States, Europe and others countries. With this, handmade production made a contribution of 27.5% by exporting handicrafts “between” 2016-17.  Talking about handicraft, which are made by hand with art and skills is known as handicraft. The history of artistic handicraft had begun from 5th century A.D. in Nepal, handicraft clothing is being produced in a traditional way. Establishment of Handicraft Company is the reason for employments for a large group of people. 
Nepali handmade products are so famous for its texture and quality. Most of the Nepali garment company mostly emphasized the manually produced cloths as it increases the quality of the products. Day by day, the design of the cloths is being westernized as per the demand of the customer. Most of the fabric used for the production are mostly form local handmade small textile company, it includes, along with pashmina, wool, Dhaka (one kind of local textile), hemp products, also (nettle fiber), felt, silk, and cotton goods. These materials are extensively used to prepare the clothes, bags, jackets, shawls, trousers and so forth.
